Common questions about accessibility consultants in Sydney
Plain answers to what Sydney and NSW organisations ask us most.
Do your Sydney consultants work on site or remotely?
Both. We meet Sydney and NSW clients on site for workshops, testing sessions and stakeholder briefings, and deliver audits, remediation and training remotely where that is faster. The mix is agreed at the start of each engagement.
Which accessibility standards apply to Sydney and NSW organisations?
Most Sydney organisations work to WCAG 2.2 Level AA, the international accessibility benchmark (WCAG 2.2 defines 87 success criteria across levels A, AA and AAA). NSW and Australian government services are expected to meet WCAG 2.2 AA under the Digital Service Standard, and the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 makes inaccessible digital services a legal risk for any organisation. Documents are assessed against PDF/UA (ISO 14289).
Who do you work with in Sydney and NSW?
We work with NSW and federal government agencies, universities and software companies building products for Australian users. Engagements range from a single audit before a launch to multi-year compliance and capability programmes.
How do I start with an accessibility audit in Sydney?
Start with a short scoping conversation about your site or product, your deadline and the standard you need to meet. From there we provide a written scope with sample pages, effort and deliverables before any work begins. You can reach the team at [email protected].
